Nice itinerary between ancient beech trees. Drive to Sarteano and follow the indications to Castiglioncello sul Trinoro, 1 km before the village, you should park your car at the crossroads to Pietraporciana. You can drive a kilometre more in the direction up to the picnic area.. The path starts at the barrier. you procede for 600 m and then you turn right on a narrow path, into a beautiful forest of beech trees with rocks covered with moss. At the end of the forest you climb the hill and visit the "Grotta del bruco" (The caterpillar's cave). You procede up to the crossroads and go back to your car.
